X Post Local Time is a Chrome extension that shows the time of posts on x.com and twitter.com in absolute local time instead of X’s relative timestamps, and keeps a list of live local clocks for the accounts you choose to track.
X Post Local Time does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising or tracking, and does not send your data to developer-controlled servers.
Everything it stores stays in your browser’s local extension storage. The extension has no server, no analytics and no third-party services. The only network activity it causes is your own browser loading pages on x.com and twitter.com with the X session you are already signed into.
When you add an account to track, the extension stores the following on your device:
The extension does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not build a profile of you. It is not affiliated with X Corp.
All data is stored locally in your browser through the extension storage API (chrome.storage.local). The extension does not operate a backend server.
The extension does not sell, rent or share data with advertisers, data brokers or any other third party. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting, and the extension loads no remote code — all of its code is contained in the installed package.
To learn an account’s time zone, the extension opens that account’s public profile page in a background tab, reads the location field from the page, and closes the tab again. The page is loaded by your own browser using the X session you are already signed into, exactly as if you had opened it yourself. The extension never asks for your X password and does not read your cookies or tokens itself.
Tracked accounts and preferences remain in your browser until you remove them. Removing an account from the list deletes the data stored for it. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data, because that data only ever existed in your browser’s extension storage.
X Post Local Time is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
X Post Local Time processes everything on your own device. No data is transferred to the developer or to any other party, so there is no cross-border transfer of your data.
This policy may be updated when X Post Local Time changes how it handles data. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
